Mr. Allen Faucett, Consulting Practice Partner, has over 25 years experience providing financial management and consulting services for public and private entities, emerging disadvantaged businesses.   Currently, Mr. Faucett is a partner in the Certified Public Accounting firm of Brooks, Faucett & Robertson LLP.  BFR provides accounting, auditing, tax, and technology consulting services to emerging firms in Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana.   Previously, Mr. Faucett was the proprietor of WINTEC, a technology consulting firm established in 1996.

Mr. Faucett possesses skills in accounting, entrepreneurship, and financial investment.  Utilizing computerized information systems, Mr. Faucett provides advice to small and mid-sized companies on becoming operational efficient and thus increasing profitability.  He manages consulting engagements with emerging businesses providing direct expertise in capital development, financial planning, operational assessments and marketing.   He has assisted businesses with start-up and growth issues in construction, telecommunications, computer networking, manufacturing, and distribution.  Mr. Faucett performs audits and other assurance and consulting services for not-for profit organizations.

Prior to establishing WINTEC, Mr. Faucett was a Senior Consultant for RGMA, Inc., headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.  Mr. Faucett performed among his responsibilities at RGMA, as a Capital Development Consultant for the inaugural Chicago-based Minority Enterprise Growth Assistance Center (MEGA) consortium.  In that position, he prepared and evaluated business plans for emerging businesses attempting to obtain capital in debt or equity markets and recommended appropriate strategy to obtain financial resources.  Mr. Faucett performed outreach and advocated the Chicago MEGA Center's programs via seminars and networking in its multi-state region.

As a project manager for RGMA’s Mc3D,Inc., emerging firms participation, Mr. Faucett assisted  minority-owned construction firms working on the design and build team for the $975 million McCormick Place Exposition Center south hall expansion in 1993.  He assessed contractors needs and recommended operational improvements to increase likelihood of project participation and build capacity of minority construction contractors.   Mr. Faucett prepared business plans for firms seeking debt, equity, and contract specific financing, implemented accounting and project control systems, and recommended growth strategies. 

Mr. Faucett managed RGMA’s Small Business Administration (SBA) Section 7(j) management and technical assistance program for Section 8(a) firms in the state of Wisconsin and provided strategic planning and marketing to Section 8(a) firms in SBA's Region V (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin.)   He has presented seminars on such topics as: becoming a SBA Section 8(a) contractor, marketing to the federal government sector, applying for business loans with state, local and federal assistance, and preparing business plans for new entrepreneurs.

Prior to joining RGMA, Mr. Faucett was a Financial Analyst for South Coast Air Quality Management, Diamond Bar, California, and the world's largest local environmental control agency.  In that role he was responsible for implementing financial projects and an out-sourced operational audit program.  At South Coast, Mr. Faucett was instrumental in the design and implementation of an OCR-based payroll and project tracking system. This system known as the Work Program Tracking System generated important information allowing South Coast Management to make crucial cost saving decisions during tough budget negotiations with fee payers and the California legislature.    

Previous positions include as Controller for an Indiana-based "Black Enterprise 100" petroleum distributor.  He began his professional career with the international public accounting firm of Ernst and Young in Indianapolis, specializing in financial institutions.  Mr. Faucett earned his Master of Business Administration  (MBA) in Finance from California State University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.  He possesses Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Internal Auditor (Institute of Internal Auditors) (CIA) professional designations.

Mr. Faucett's past and present affiliations include Illinois CPA Society, Indiana University Alumni Association (Life member), and National Association of Black Accountants.
